The Bladnoch Samsara is a fragrant blend of malts matured in first fill Bourbon and Californian Red Wine casks. The Copper-Gold coloured whisky has a quite concentrated fruity scent, with plums, vanilla and orange blossom, which transcends into a rich taste of vanilla, citrus and sweet floral grass. The finish is rich, mellow and mouth coating, leading to a refreshing citrus which lingers in the mouth. Created to celebrate the reopening of the Lowland distillery, the designated name “Samsara” means rebirth, and it was a successful return for the distillery, winning numerous awards including the gold medals at both the 2018 San Francisco Spirits Competition and the 2018 Scotch Whisky Masters.
