Description

The rim of the cup is divided into equal curved petal shapes, resembling the flower of an okra plant, hence the name. The rim has five or six petals. It first appeared during the Tang Dynasty, became popular during the Song Dynasty, and continued to be produced in large quantities during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with even more refined and well-ordered shapes.
