How to Prepare Tea

White Tea:

  1. Water temperature: 160-185°F (70-85°C)
  2. Amount of tea: 1-2 teaspoons per 8 ounces (240ml) of water
  3. Amount of water: 8 ounces (240ml) per serving
  4. Cup: Porcelain or glass cup
  5. Pot: Porcelain, glass, or ceramic teapot
  6. Steeping time: 2-5 minutes

Instructions:

  1. Heat water to the desired temperature (160-185°F / 70-85°C).
  2. Add 1-2 teaspoons of white tea leaves per 8 ounces (240ml) of water to the teapot.
  3. Pour the heated water over the tea leaves and let it steep for 2-5 minutes.
  4. Strain the tea leaves and pour the tea into a porcelain or glass cup to enjoy.

 

Green Tea:

  1. Water temperature: 160-185°F (70-85°C)
  2. Amount of tea: 1 teaspoon per 8 ounces (240ml) of water
  3. Amount of water: 8 ounces (240ml) per serving

  5. Pot: Porcelain, glass, or ceramic teapot

Black Tea:

  1. Water temperature: 200-212°F (93-100°C)
  2. Amount of tea: 1 teaspoon per 8 ounces (240ml) of water
  3. Amount of water: 8 ounces (240ml) per serving
  4. Cup: Porcelain or ceramic cup
  5. Pot: Porcelain or ceramic teapot
  6. Steeping time: 3-5 minutes

Instructions:

  1. Heat water to the desired temperature (200-212°F / 93-100°C).
  2. Add 1 teaspoon of black tea leaves per 8 ounces (240ml) of water to the teapot.
  3. Pour the heated water over the tea leaves and let it steep for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Strain the tea leaves and pour the tea into a porcelain or ceramic cup to enjoy.

 

Oolong Tea:

  1. Water temperature: 185-205°F (85-96°C)
  2. Amount of tea: 1-2 teaspoons per 8 ounces (240ml) of water
  3. Amount of water: 8 ounces (240ml) per serving
  4. Cup: Porcelain or ceramic cup
  5. Pot: Porcelain, ceramic, or Yixing clay teapot
  6. Steeping time: 3-5 minutes

Instructions:

  1. Heat water to the desired temperature (185-205°F / 85-96°C).
  2. Add 1-2 teaspoons of oolong tea leaves per 8 ounces (240ml) of water to the teapot.
  3. Pour the heated water over the tea leaves and let it steep for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Strain the tea leaves and pour the tea into a porcelain or ceramic cup to enjoy.

Note: Oolong teas can be re-steeped several times, and the flavor may improve with each subsequent steeping. Simply add hot water to the same tea leaves and increase the steep
